The selection box of tabs and buttons is really heavy ... One detail that made the ground all the elegance of the new theme ..

I think that box it's necessary, but the colours I think it's not the right one, maybe something more cool could be better

Recent tendancy on the web (and Launchpad) has been to highlight input widgets that have unacceptable input with a bridge red border.
The highlighting used in light-themes is similar, providing the opportunity for confusion.
Ideally high-lighting should be done in a neutral way; traditionally this has been a dotted grey outline; or intensity increase. If the colouring needs to remain, ideally it should be a colour from the palette itself (eg. the new corporate orange).
