Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

Perhaps not a bug, but I think it's inelegant and aesthetic.

Currently, the progress bar looks like:

However, the new look of Ubuntu is much more elegant than this, perhaps better be something more cool, or is thinner bar or maybe play with two colors like old-style human / humanity

Again, I think it's a necessary change in keeping with the elegance of the new item

Currently, limitations in gtk prevent us from displaying the progress bar per design. The current solution is a work-around.

I just would like to add that the "glossy" style of the orange progress bar does not fit to the rest of the theme (icons, window borders). The glossy style is one of the reasons why the progress bar looks a bit "out of place".

Progressbars in the light themes stick out like a sore thumb. They look unpolished and are the #1 reason I can't stand the theme (all the rest seems ok to me). Clearlooks' progressbar styles and more subdued tones are much easier on the eyes and better for usability. Fluo orange/red may symbolize community, but I couldn't care less about what they symbolize: I want them to look good and have good usability, not make me ashamed of using that theme or unable to look at it for more than a couple of minutes.

I'd like to add something to this bug. The progressbar is supposed to be fixed about the colors, but now it has rounded corners, which in my opinion, look rather unprofessional.
I attached some screenshots of where the rounded progress bars look wrong.

I'm completely agree with Daniel, the progress bar it's better since 1.5.9 released, but still too far to be professional and elegant like the rest of the theme...
