Bug Description

Stable update for gnome-orca in lucid, update to 2.30.2. Filtered debdiff with changes since 2.30.0 attached.

Original description follows:

Binary package hint: gnome-orca

Dear developers,

Because Orca developers publicate new 2.30.1 Orca upstream version, please upload a new version of gnome-orca package if this is possible. This new upstream version is publicated in april 25, 2010, but I think this time period have an archive freeze, so, final Lucid release now containing 2.30.0 gnome-orca package version.
In future, because Lucid is an LTS release, possible following automatical the new maintenance upstream version upgrades (2.30.1 to 2.30.2 and 2.30.3 versions)? The maintenance versions containing some time important bugfixes vith visual impaired users. Of course, not need do in future upgrade gnome-orca version to 6 month later publicated new upstream version (for example 2.32.1 version), but actual Lucid used gnome branch maintenance upgrades is need I think.
Now, with hungarian visual impaired users I always tracking the actual maintenance branch Orca version my PPA, but better do this an official way if this is possible. Need upload new versions of following packages:
gnome-orca, at-spi

Thanks,

Attila

Lucid is the most accessible Ubuntu release in at least two years, maybe the most accessible ever. Many blind users stayed on Ubuntu 8.04 for two years, skipping the less stable releases in between. I believe this pattern will continue, and the blind will rely on Ubuntu Lucid far more than typical users over the next two years. However, Orca is progressing very rapidly. I believe we will be happy to test Orca new releases on the Vinux derivation of Ubuntu Lucid to help insure the stability of orca package upgrades. I hope that Ubuntu Lucid will be able to move forward for the blind over the coming two years, rather than staying back the way Ubuntu Hardy did.

Thanks,
Bill

The filtered debdiff looks fairly reasonable, and given the compelling rationale given for this SRU, ACK from me.

I can also verify that the gnome-orca update shows know obvious signs of regression. I've also been able to test a few of the bug conditions mentioned in the changelog, and can verify that they are fixed.
