Bug Description
Binary package hint: qutim
If using gmail jabber, then
Debug: 0x0008: "This is gloox 1.0, connecting to gmail.com:-1..."
Critical: 0x0004: "Client is configured to require TLS but either the server didn't offer TLS or TLS support is not compiled in."
If I use qutim from http://
SRU information:
Impact: Affects all users connecting to TLS-encrypted Jabber servers, such as Google Talk. Makes them unable to connect.
Addressed in Maverick: By build-depending on libgnutls-dev and building the Jabber plugin with GNUTLS=1.
Regression potential: None. The patch does not affect functionality already present in the Lucid version.
TEST CASE:
1. Open the new account wizard in qutim.
2. Select Jabber.
3. Enter a Gmail/Google Talk username (<email address hidden>) and password.
4. Finish the wizard.
Expected behavior (seen in Maverick and with the lucid-proposed patch): qutim successfully connects to Google Talk.
Actual behavior (in Lucid): An error popup is displayed.

Fixed in Maverick in 0.2.0-0ubuntu4. Going to make an SRU for Lucid, since it's serious breakage.
