Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

The hyperlink colors in some applications like Liferea are appearing in light color against a light background. This can also be seen in Firefox's 'download completed' sliding message which has a hyperlink to open the Downloads dialog.

I've opened this against light-themes, not sure if it is the theme or the individual applications which will need fixing.

I don't think that orange color was the best option for hyperlinks. In web browsers, orange hyperlinks means a visited link, so the user might be tempted to think that the GNOME desktop is behaving like a browser, showing all hyperlinks as visited and confusing the user. Blue might be a better solution.

However, on the other hand, orange hyperlinks shows great in the navigation history list of the Firefox address bar (much better than before, when it used blue links).

I agree with Ricardo. The orange links look out of place with the regular black text.
