Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

light-themes 0.1.5.7

Scrollbar buttons are completely flat, without even a border. This often causes them to bleed oddly into surrounding areas.

They also give no feedback on mousedown.

I think that this is on purpose as nobody actually uses the arrows - just take a look on google chrome

This is not an intended behavior , the problem is that the scrollbars behave/appear differently within the same theme in different applications.

I didnt notice this until i was actually trying to scroll-down in a firefox window , attaching screenshot> notice there is a gap which makes it seem that there is still some page left , while notice the scrolbar of the other window , the stepper is styled differently for firefox and thunderbird.

Bumping this from wishlist , since the scrollbar appearance is inconsistent within the theme.

The stepper needs to be the same for firefox/thunderbird and the rest of the apps

The light themes are using the option:
        GtkRange::trough-under-steppers = 0

Which is ignored by the mozilla apps , either it is a bug in murrine or we are missing the right class/widget_class

affects: gtk2-engines-murrine → murrine-themes
affects: murrine-themes → murrine

it is supposed to be like that, the option is stepperstyle = 1

I think i hijacked this bug for a different issue. Reverting status. mpt mentions the borders.

The bug i noticed is that the steppers are displayed different for mozilla apps and the rest of the apps.

@Andrea Cimitan: Is the screenshot from comment 4 intentional as well? notice that the steppers are different ..

which is the difference between mozilla apps and non-mozilla apps?

ok I have seen... could be a gtk+ match or the fact mozilla maybe is
forcing some custom settings
