Bug Description

Binary package hint: light-themes

I find that using an orange of this tonalty for progress bar color does not fit the theme, because it's too "hard".
A softer color could be used, like the one used for active checkboxes or radio buttons, in the text background

I do agree that it doesn't really fit.. I will mark it as confirmed and leave it up to the devs as to what they want to do.

I also think the progress bar color should be changed as above.

Maybe this should be in a new bug report...

Second thing is the window "close" button. It is always "bright" like the color of the progress bar.

It suggests that the button is somehow active.

Note that when out of focus, all of the window buttons dim. This is a good thing.

The focused window have buttons that appear ready to use. This too is a good thing. But the window close button is colored distinctly from the others. Why draw attention to the button at this time?

It seems better to make those buttons the same, except for when mouse over. At mouse over then make the color change to a brighter setting. This makes the potential choice more visible to the user. This would be a good thing.

again, another comment about color palette...

the default light theme appears to be "ambiance", yet the login screen is "radiance"... it seems more seemless to make both gdm login and default theme to be the same.
