Bug Description

On the kubuntu Dapper desktop CD (x86 -- downloaded yesterday), the boot menu's help page <F5> "Special boot parameters - overview" refers to "expert mode" on <F3> to ask for kernel module parameters. However, the text on <F3> appears to make no reference to "expert mode".

Seconded. The help for the text-mode boot menu is also out of date, mentioning 'live-expert', which doesn't appear to be a valid boot option.

I don't thiknk this bug relates to ubuntu-docs as far as i know the doc-team doesn't manage/deal with this portion. I just don't know what package to place this agains

debian-installer (20070308ubuntu9) gutsy; urgency=low

  * Remove dangling reference to expert mode from live boot screens
    (LP: #48349).
  * Move to 2.6.22-9 kernels.
