evolution hangs when trying to open/save attachments in an email with 2 ppt attachments

I will try and get the backtrace. Have not done that before as I am new to linux world.
Steps to reproduce are easy - just run evolution from terminal and access the attachments in an email and you will see errors similar to mine in terminal. This is also dependent on the theme which is selected in ubuntu apperance prefs.

Here is the errors with human theme and then with the clear looks theme - the draw_box errors.

I have the problem, that evolution (at bottom of "new email" window) flickers after adding the first attachment.
 Error: CRITICAL **: murrine_style_draw_box: assertion `width >= -1' failed
AND after adding the next (second) attachment, the programm freezes and hangs completely.

2 completely different or correlative bug(s) ?

I think its related - i've had these freezes and its something to do with the attachment area and a colored box being drawn there based on the theme selected. Changing the theme does not prevent the errors but just changes the message (clearlooks_style instead of murrine_style as posted in logs above)- hope my explanation is of use

Most of the times Compleet freeze: Have to push power off for a hard stop...
Sometimes very very very slow with high disactivity (bear freeze?) , with a lot of luck logout: 2 messeages that evolution is still running, logingout anyway, login in - system monitor- evolution and evolution data server still running
In other words: Impossible to add an attachment in evolution......

try changing the attachments view to list view - that makes it more stable

I am experiencing exactly the same symptoms (Karmic Beta), I think this bug is closely related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/evolution/+bug/393534, the attachments view seems to be triggering that behaviour.

Confirmed with latest Karmic updates as if today.

Confirmed workaround, changing to "list view" in the attachments bar allows me to add an attachment without the previous behaviour.

The issue is probably bug #393534 or bug #460710 could you try those updates?

It works! Evolution doesn't freeze and opens the File!
But: The icon view looks weird :/
But i don't know if it looked better before Karmic...
