Bug Description

Binary package hint: language-selector

The gnome-language-selector UI does not make use of translations. It's translated in jaunty, hasn't been touched since, the same template is used for karmic, but no translation is used. This is a serious issue.

Probably the translation domain needs to be set to GtkBuilder.

As I've heard that there have been problems in translations with some packages migrating to GtkBuilder in the last few days, could it be that this is also caused by that? See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=574520

I have included a fix in version 0.4.7, 0.4.8 has been uploaded into the archive. Can you please test if the issue still exists?

I use language-selector 0.4.11 in Ubuntu Karmic, and the UI still does not show the local language correctly. (only a few words are translated, the translation in Launchpad is done)

Same here, no translations. Does it work for some languages, then, if the developer(s) aren't seeing the problem?
