The package can not be installed currently without a error, I'm uploading a fix.

TEST CASE:
1. install ppm
2. verify that it fails to install

3. install the version from jaunty-proposed
4. verify that it installs now (and ignore the warning about the registering)

I can confirm that ppm from 0.0.2-0ubuntu2 from jaunty is not installable. I'm also pleased to confirm that ppm 0.0.2-0ubuntu3 from jaunty-proposed installs and starts successfully without issue.

This bug was fixed in the package ppm - 0.0.2-0ubuntu3

ppm (0.0.2-0ubuntu3) jaunty-proposed; urgency=low

  * debian/preinst:
    - test for the existance of /etc/dbus-1/event.d/30ppmd before
      calling it (LP: #365995) - this makes the package actually
      installable
  * debian/patches/makefix_fix.dpatch:
    - fix makesfiles so that it builds
