the title states that it doesn't "lock screen saver", what do you call lock there? what do you do and what error do you get?

Sorry for not clear explanation

I mean it doesn't prevent screen saver from running.

I used dbus-monitor to confirm futher that it doesn't use Inhibit call to gnome screen saver.
On the other hand when I use totem Inhibit is called.

maxim@maxim-laptop:~$ dbus-monitor | grep Inhibit
method call sender=:1.151 -> dest=:1.17 path=/org/gnome/ScreenSaver; interface=org.gnome.ScreenSaver; member=Inhibit
method call sender=:1.151 -> dest=:1.17 path=/org/gnome/ScreenSaver; interface=org.gnome.ScreenSaver; member=UnInhibit

This with totem, and nothing otherwise

No problem

When I use totem, I see:

dbus-monitor | grep Inhibit

method call sender=:1.185 -> dest=:1.71 serial=9 path=/org/gnome/ScreenSaver; interface=org.gnome.ScreenSaver; member=Inhibit
method call sender=:1.185 -> dest=:1.71 serial=10 path=/org/gnome/ScreenSaver; interface=org.gnome.ScreenSaver; member=UnInhibit

When I open a video in firefox I see nothing
