Bug Description

Binary package hint: alsa-base

Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04

Package alsa-base 1.0.18.dfsg-1ubuntu5

On line #12 in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf there is a typo naming ":sbin/modprobe" instead of "/sbin/modprobe" which makes alsa fail on load.

This line will fix the matter
sed -i "s/\:sbin/\/sbin/" alsa-base.conf

Hi everyone!

I have a laptop: HP Pavilion dv5.

First someone suggested to modify my "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf" file with adding these lines to the end of it:

options snd-pcsp index=-2
options snd slots=snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=hp-m4
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel

It worked perfectly ...until these days, I have no sound at all. :-(

Any help appreciated; thank you in advance!
