xubuntu-desktop will not install on intrepid due to dependency on gtk2-engines-ubuntulooks

Bug Description
After doing an apt-get update on a standard intrepid install, xubuntu-desktop cannot be installed as
gtk2-engines-

vik@eegret:~$ sudo apt-get install xubuntu-desktop

Found out that if I "apt-get install gtk2-engines- ubuntulooks" separately first, it works. Not quite sure why it should be so.
