Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

Using Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDn to switch tabs results in garbage on command line.

Open a new terminal and create multiple tabs. Hit Ctrl-PgDn until you reach the last tab. Hit Ctrl-PgDn again and ";5~" appears on the command line for each keypress.

sciri@baka:~$ ;5~;5~

Hit Ctrl-PgUp until your each the first tab. Hit Ctrl-PgUp again and "5~" appears on the command line.

sciri@baka:~$ 5~5~

I don't recall seeing this behaviour in Hardy.

As an additional comment, the behaviour I'd expect would be to act like Firefox: wrap around from the last to the first tab when hitting next, or wrap around from the first to the last tab when hitting previous.

Yes, I get the same ";5~" "5~" garbage control characters when hitting Ctrl-PgUp and Ctrl-PgDn in xterm. And thanks for finding the upstream bug. :)

Not fixed. I get 5~ and ;5~ for ctrl-pgup and ctrl-pgdn, when using the pgup and pgdn keys on my number pad (9 and 3 without numlock), but not when using the dedicated keys (pgup and pgdown).
