Bug Description

Binary package hint: gjiten

Gjiten has a big useful button labeled "KanjiPad", which launches kanjipad. But even after installing gjiten and kanjipad, clicking on this button pops up a warning about not knowing where the kanjipad executable is.

kanjipad is also an official Ubuntu package, so integration between them could be improved.
By now, after installing both, user still needs to click "Edit>Preferences>General>Kanjipad" and enter "/usr/bin/kanjipad". A typical user would not know it is in /usr/bin, not everybody is literate with UNIX commands.

Cheers and thanks for those near-perfect tools !!!
Nicolas Raoul.

I'd most definitely recommend this! It seems a bit silly that the executable isn't linked by default! In fact, I don't even have the executable by default...

A pity for what is an excellent program!

Definitely, I agree.
This has made me perplexed at the beginning. But, I knew that I could just search for the kanjipad executable my "search" or finding the directory by opening Synatpic Package Manager and then clicking property on "kanjipad" package.
All of this just to know that the executable is located at "/usr/bin/kanjipad"

But, not everyone will know how to do this. Ubuntu is targeting non-Linux experts, as such it is important to fix this kind of issues.

The package can at least default to using the binary provided by the kanjipad package, so I'll modify it to do that.

Attaching patch which sets /apps/gjiten/general/kanjipad to /usr/bin/kanjipad on first run, since that's where the kanjipad package puts it. Note that gjiten does let the user set a new path, so if they have a non-repository kanjipad binary they can correct this. The point is to make the user not have to set it on first run with a default setup.
