is this patch out with hardy? I upgraded to hardy, then updated hardy as of now, and I do not see an update for gnome-panel ... but I still have the problem. do I have to manually upgrade it?

I still have the problem with 8.04 on AMD64. It crash arbitrary when I click the clock. Only "killall gnome-panel" helps :-(

I can confirm Simon's problem. It's not on startup, it locks gnome-panel hard when clicked on. Perhaps I've found a new bug?
