Bug Description

[Impact]
imx274 camera sensor probing is not successful and observe below errors in dmesg

IMX274 2-001a: imx274_read_mbreg : i2c bulk read failed, 300e (2 bytes)
[ 1248.452216] IMX274 2-001a: imx274_set_frame_interval error = -5
[ 1248.562027] IMX274 2-001a: s_stream failed

[Test Plan]
1. install the package with new vck190_vpl_gen_fixed.pdi and boot1901.bin with new vck190_vpl_gen_fixed.pdi will be generated
2. System can boot with new boot1901.bin and there is no error message when imx274 camera sensor is probing.

[Where problems could occur]
There should be no regression issue because new vck190_vpl_gen_fixed.pdi is only for fixing imx274 camera sensor probing issue.

This looks good. I suggest adding a "New upstream version" entry to d/changelog when a new upstream version is packaged, e.g.:

 * New upstream version 2022.1_22.04_5
   - Fix: IMX274 Probe failure (LP: #2024134)

but I believe this can be uploaded as-is.

Can we also do a general smoketest of the device as part of this SRU validation? Since binary blob updates are risky, as you can't really fully tell what *really* changed inside.

Hello ethan.hsieh, or anyone else affected,

Accepted xlnx-firmware into lunar-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xlnx-firmware/2022.1-5-0ubuntu1~23.04 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-lunar to verification-done-lunar. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-lunar. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

Hi Timo,
I'm still waiting for the feedback from AMD-Xilinx. PM highlighted it to AMD-Xilinx. But, unfortunately, there is still no feedback. Will keep highlight it and get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi

We have tested the updated image, the imx274 camera sensor probing succeeds and the test video pipeline executes as expected with no IMX274 I2C errors seen.
