Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
My thunderbird was updated with the package updater this morning. Imediately after the fresh install, Thunderbird began doing this.
Upon the email editor frame closing, the entire application closes.
This happens both when sending an email or when choosing not to.
When sending an email, the status dialog pops up like it should, and closes like it should.
The email does get sent, and is added to the sent folder.
As soon as the email editor frame is closed, the entire Thunderbird Application closes.
The application should remain open, while only closing the editor window.

Do you have any extensions installed? maybe running mozilla-thunderbird -safe-mode helps?
