Bug Description

After a default 7.10 mythbuntu installation /var/log/mythtv/ is not created. The following will fix the problem:

sudo mkdir /var/log/mythtv
sudo chown root:mythtv /var/log/mythtv
sudo chmod g+w /var/log/mythtv

Log files are placed in /tmp and lost after a reboot without the /var/log/mythtv/ directory.

Thanks for the bug report. What type of installation did you perform, and how? Was this from the CD or from the packages directly in apt?

It was from the cd and I did a "Advanced install" as I only needed a
frontend.

Karmic Final, i386.

Seems this bug has cropped up again.

Frontend only install, all defaults accepted. No /var/log/mythtv, and logfiles end up in /tmp.
