Bug Description
Currently (as of Ubuntu 17.04), version 0.3.1 of this library is packaged for Ubuntu. Applications using this library will crash if you attempt to start them under Wayland (or another other non-X display).
Version 0.3.2 of this library resolves this crash, as can be seen in the changelog here:

This was brought to my attention after noticing that Pithos (a media player) is affected and cannot launch as a result:
