Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

This is in direct reference to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=587732.

Modprobing lirc_pvr150 (or allowing it to automatically load) causes a hard lock on the system. A patch is available From Mark Blushing's blog.

I just tried to test and verify this fix but was unable to trigger the original hard lock of the system. Mario, since you are the original reporter, care to comment if linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.22-14.38 resolves this bug. Thanks.

Leann,

Do you have the proper pvr150 hardware? It only occurs if you have the
hardware in the system..
