Bug Description
As noted here http://
GDM 3.8.1.1 depends on dconf-tools when it should depend on dconf-editor, as dconf-tools is a transitional package, for help installing the new split packages dconf-cli and dconf-editor.

Thanks for reporting this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
According to Debian, gdm actually needs dconf-cli instead: anonscm. debian. org/viewvc/ pkg-gnome? view=revision& revision= 38363

We'll still have ubuntu- gnome-desktop depend on dconf-editor though. I don't know if Ubuntu itself will continue to include dconf-editor or not by default.
