We provide GnuPG 2.1 packages. GnuPG 2.1 is currently in BETA! In other words, the packages in testing are not recommended for production machines!

If you intend to try the new gnupg2 package, we highly recommend you enable both the testing and stable repositories.
To install:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tuxedo/stable
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tuxedo/testing
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gnupg2

When GPG2 becomes stable, we will provide the packages in a “stable” Launchpad Personal Package Archive (PPA). We estimate the new gnupg 2.1 packages will be available in the main Ubuntu archives in the 15.04 release, or late April of 2015 and we plan to provide packages until then.

In the future we may build other packages in the testing repository that could break your production system. If you install the beta packages and wish to receive an email when the new packages are available in stable, please email launchpadteam at tuxedo.net.
