PPA description
This PPA contains GIMP Paint Studio packaged for GIMP 2.6.
GIMP Paint Studio is a collection of brushes and accompanying tool presets. Tool presets are a simply saved tool options, highly useful feature of the GIMP. See http://code.google.com/p/gps-gimp-paint-studio/ for more info.

I know the PPA has no packages for Quantal and/or GIMP 2.8. You don't need any packages. Installing Paint Studio is as simple as extracting an archive. That's what you should do, NOT add repos created by a random guy on the internet to your system.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:shnatsel/gimp-paint-studio to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shnatsel/gimp-paint-studio
sudo apt update
