PPA description

Backports of gcc 11.4.0 & gcc-defaults 1.193ubuntu1 for Xenial & newer.

Note: LLVM 13 binaries are here, as they are required by AMD GCN tools.

*** Install ***

Note well: This PPA will install GCC 11.4.0 (same version as in official jammy-security). It will also set system GCC defaults to 11.4.0! You have been informed. Do these steps if you want to proceed with this upgrade:

  sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/gcc-defaults-11
  sudo apt-get update
  sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Adding this PPA to your system

You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:savoury1/gcc-defaults-11 to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing) 

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:savoury1/gcc-defaults-11
sudo apt update
