At the moment, our team primarily consists of hackers working for base-camp IT Security & Solutions (http://www.base-camp.cc/). Any contribution is appreciated! The OSSIM Unified Security Management is primarily developed by AlienVault. We are trying to get the full source code from AlienVault to make this work, considered that just using the code from the public .git repository was not enough. The code-base is free software released under the terms of the GNU General Public License (GPL) ver 2.0, and the AlienVault distribution is based on Debian GNU/Linux 5.0 "Lenny". You can get the source-code from the OSSIM GIT-repository.

The Ubuntu PPA packages have been built for Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" (and Linux Mint 8 "Helena" etc.) and for Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS "Lucid Lynx" (and newer).
