PPA description
Support for DisplayPort in Jaunty in Intel graphic chips.
WARNING: this driver is not supported any more as Keith decided to support DisplayPort using KMS. Keith's patches were included in kernel version 2.6.31. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/X/KernelModeSetting for instructions how to activate KMS.
WARNING: Using this driver with kernel 2.6.31 most probably will not work.
Upgrade to 2.6.30-9 karmic kernel is recommended before using these packages as several kernel side issues were resolved there. Unfortunately it is not present in karmic repositories any more, so building from ubuntu kernel git is required.
Known problems:
- sometimes it is necessary to switch to text console with ctr+alt+F1 and then back to graphical one to get DP output.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:morgwai/intel-displayport to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:morgwai/intel-displayport
sudo apt update
