Kazam with Crash Recovery
PPA description
Kazam with crash recovery file creation so that one can recover in case of any crashes.
In gstreamer.py, if moov-recovery-file option is added then it will be possible
to recover if Kazam were to crash during recording. The recovery file can be used
to recover the .movie.mux file to get a .movie file, using gst-launch-1.0. For
instance, the following command can be used to recover when the temporary name
is kazam_ky212csv.
gst-launch-1.0 qtmoovrecover broken-
recovery-

Recovery of saved recording is quite critical in most situations. It may also help,
if later the above command invocation can be done via a menu option in Kazam, although
that would be feature request. Recovery however I consider it to be bug.
Adding this PPA to your system
You can update your system with unsupported packages from this untrusted PPA by adding ppa:hlprasu/kazam to your system's Software Sources. (Read about installing)
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:hlprasu/kazam
sudo apt update
