I am student at the Durban University of technology studying towards a National Diploma in Language practice.

I am currently at a 3rd year level and have skills that I have acquired through learning at 1st and second year level.

The skills that I have acquired are as follows:

* Translate documents from the source language, for example, isiZulu, into the target language, for example, English. For translation work, computer literacy and I have typing skills that are essential because all translations are done on computer.

* Edit documents electronically or on hard copy for language and style by scrutinizing them for readability, logic, sentence structure, grammar and spelling. Consult dictionaries and other sources of reference and relevant web sites and discussion groups on the Internet to find solutions to language- related difficulties that may arise. I am also capable of proofreading documents before they are published.

    * Specialize in interpreting, in which case I will interpret the words spoken by somebody into another language.
