Hi! I'm a Technology Director/System Admin/Computer Teacher in a K-8 school in Vassalboro, Maine USA. I also organize and host, along with Matt Oquist, the Northeast Linux Symposiums/Free & Open Source Software in Education Conferences at Gould Academy, University of New Hampshire, and Gallaudet University. I'm committed to the evolution of Linux in schools and in the classroom. Our school has a large deployment of K12LTSP and uses Linux almost exclusively on the backend. I'm active in testing K12LTSP, development and documentation of the smbldap-installer (http://majen.net/smbldap or http://www.vcsvikings.org/linux/smbldap), as well as educating others to the benefits of Linux and FOSS in schools.
