Very simply:

My primary interest, with Linux, is accessibility, very specifically speech-recognition. It is this alone that would make accessible to me the environment I prefer.

Significant disability requires that I use speech recognition and, so, a Windows environment at the moment. My experience with Linux is obtained by logging in with VNC, through which I may operate using speech recognition but this is not satisfactory for primary desktop usage and too difficult for most people who choose to or must use speech recognition.

My coding skills don't exist beyond the fairly simple macros I use with speech-recognition. My experience with Linux is enough to confidently install, configure etc. with VNC, troubleshoot, backup and all the usual basics.

If I can help my help will be in the area of my experience with speech-recognition and general accessibility issues. Health permitting, I may be of use in documentation. I am certainly available for consultation on any matter relating to the use of speech-recognition such as the features that might be desired, the general behavior of software etc. I am a user of NaturallySpeaking and my experience goes back to the earliest commercial speech recognition software, again only in usage, not coding.
