bojo42's PPA for 3D on newer ATi cards

Ubuntu 10.04:
Already has out-of-the-box support for 3D, so this PPA just provides an update to Mesa (and libdrm) for people who like to use Mesa 7.8 instead of 7.7. The packages are plain backports from maverick.

Ubuntu 9.10:
This PPA provides stuff needed to enable 3D on R600/R700 graphic chips under Ubuntu 9.10. I try to keep it "stable", so no unneeded things like a new X server will land here. A small execption are the driver updates, as karmic's radeonhd is quite old and some will still need it for audio over HDMI. I also pull Mesa 7.7 in, as it brings better support for R600 than the recompiled version of karmic. As you can see this PPA is just a fine collection of X crack, that i think is worth the abuse ;).

So far this PPA still doesn't provided kernel part, so we need to get them seperatly, there are multple choices:
-for staying with 2.6.31, "steal" the backported DRM patchsets from Fedora 12 and recompile the kernel
-grab a 2.6.32 or newer Kernel from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/
-install lucid's kernel and get all the Ubuntu modifications https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/linux
