I'm originally from Dublin, Ireland but I now live in Birmingham, UK with my 2 daughters.

I've been using Ubuntu on and off since 5.04. I moved fully to Ubuntu with the release of Hardy (8.04).

I'm working as a Software Engineer for over 25 years now, initially working on embedded systems but currently writing software to run on various commercial flavours of UNIX, Linux (Centos, RHEL, Fedora, Debian, Arch and Ubuntu) and Windows from a single common codebase.

I've been a member of the Ubuntu Forums since 2005 but with a hectic personal life and 2 daughters, I haven't been able to contribute as much as I like, this is changing.
