solution to the dansguardian + tinyproxy empty page bug on Ubuntu Karmic 9.10

The solution is to downgrade to the Jaunty (9.04) version of dansguardian.
Perhaps installing the latest dansguardian from source might fix it too, but I haven't tried that.
To downgrade the dansguardian version:
1) Remove dansguardian (this will also force removal of webcontentcontrol):
sudo apt-get remove dansguardian
2) Download and install the jaunty version from here:
http://
3) Reinstall webcontentcontrol
