I think the new behavior to treat the Trash different from any other nautilus window(s) does make sense.

In addition, treating each removable media likewise (with appropriate "removable media icon" displayed on the Launcher" might also make sense (unless opened from within an existing window).

However, opening a new window for any folder in any part of the fixed disk(s) although there's already a window open (although minimized) is too much IMHO, and I'm in favor of regarding this behavior as a bug.
