How to reproduce:
1) insert disk in drive (nautilus show window with files and folders)
2) push hardware button on DVD drive (
3) files shown in nautilus
3a) type "mount" in terminal. Result for me: /dev/sr0 on /media/cdrom0 type iso9660 (ro,nosuid,nodev,utf8,user=edgar)

P.S.
eject works fine
