On an Ubuntu 9.10 system with Samba installed, the {{{nmbd}}} daemon may fail to start on boot. To workaround this problem, restart the samba service once the system has finished booting by running {{{sudo service samba restart}}}. A fix for this issue will be provided in a post-release update.
