The kernel messages are not de-duplicated because they are not exactly the same. The timestamp of the msg is always different. A option is to remove the timestamp when we read the message from the kernel (because syslog writes a timestap as well). This does loose information however because the kerneltimetamp is more accurate and its also useful to correlate this uptime format to potentional issues.
