hi,

here is my story:
- i use a fat32 usb stick to install new distro with unetbootin. That stick formated with intrepid gparted work like a charm on intrepid & jaunty 32.
- today i want to install an other os, so i reformat this stick with jaunty gparted (0.4.3-0ubuntu1) and i get an error when ive tried to mount it: "cannot get volume.fstype.alternative"
This error is widely described here and over forums as a ntfs-3g one.

What i have done next, is to reformat this stick with format xp sp3 (always fat 32). rebooting with jaunty 32, i'm surprised when i see this stick mounted, no more error !!!

So, now i'm not sure that ntfs-3g is responsible, thinking instead about gparted (0.4.3-0ubuntu1)
