I too have this same problem. Updated to release candidate today. VPN working under Hardy this morning, but getting error unable to find valid VPN secrets when attempting PPTP VPN using network-manager under intrepid. The workaround of deleting passward from connection information allows password to be entered during connection establishment and doing this a connection can be achieved - but a pain.
