Reinhard I guess that when I took that screenshot I might have had my wifi turned of by NM, to save my some battery.
And yes, I cant make use of my kill switch.
Either pressing the wifi button or FN+F2 with not be caught and no syslog entrie is recorded.
at least with older kernel versions syslog showed something, but back then I had a faulty wifi card. (either that, or the tech guy running Vista once on it, activated something in the BIOS that made it work.)
