I leave the passwordfield blank in the profile.

Just discovered I had to force the file change to network-manager-pptp - 0.7~~svn20081015t024626-0ubuntu1.8.10.1 (intrepid-proposed).

Attached error log.

Will attempt a manual connection through the console.
