The patch that fixes the crash is definitely not included in 2.6.31-16.52. This s*cks.

I can explain comments #101 and #102 only in the way that people, who claim the update to 2.6.31-16.52 has solved the bug, in fact run a different kernel like one from <https://launchpad.net/~stefan-bader-canonical/+archive/karmic>.
