Ben, can this get changed from wishlist to something...more urgent?
This is affecting three of my systems. They flat-out won't boot.

The only way I get them to boot is to recompile my own custom kernel...but seeing as I have no clue about recompiling the restricted modules, X is slow as a dog and the resolution sucks.

This looks bad for clients who want to be able to do some basic administration from the GUI.
