I can't confirm what SnowTDM is writing. For all kernel versions I
have a separate modules directory (2.6.27-11, 2.6.28-11, 2.6.28-13). The
only working kernel version is 2.6.27-11. Of course I haven't tried to
run modinfo with the non-working kernels to see if there's some kind of
problem.
BTW: I doubt that it is a good idea to simply copy kernel modules to
new versions.
