@ Takkat, from what I've seen the "default" is that nothing is "ticked" and in my experience most novices simply don't know what the various alpha-numerical symbols mean in a drive/partition designation. Surprisingly there is still confusion over the "h" or "s" at the beginning and the need for UUID's etc, but my point is that we have a serious problem.

I'm part of the problem because I blew it off for weeks blaming it on "the bug between the chair and the keyboard" so you can blame me for not more aggressively pursuing this throughout iso-testing and upgrade testing.

I'm almost certain that once Colin Watson, who seems to get stuck with a lot of these grub2 bugs, get's wind of exactly what the issue is it will be addressed in some manner. Right now we must be patient because of UDS, but I'd expect action on this within 10 to 14 days.

It could have been sooner if I'd done a better job of testing and remembering to put my "noob" shoes on ;^(
