Not 100% convinced about this. I've had lots of "gksu nautilus" commands mysteriously failing lately (from ALT-F2). Exact same behaviour....requests password and then nothing. The annoying thing is that it happens randomly & I can't duplicate it right now. :(

Might just be a co-incidence...but its been annoying me for some time now.
