Affects me as well, printing a PDF takes for ages, often more then 20 minutes, at times it seems hours (i print another way, say, give the pdf to a friend, and sometime in the afternoon my document get's printed) ...

one core of the cpu get's totally hogged

printer is a network printer, lexmark X342n, cups config:
