I still have problem with 2.24.0-0ubuntu6.1, from intrepid-proposed.

Same as above (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/intrepid/+source/fast-user-switch-applet/+bug/203217/comments/23) : it uses 100% of the CPU and the applet is freezed.
